It can't. Now go back to sleep.

Oh, don't go there when I'm too tired to quote a Zelazny novel at you... (And how likely is someone you've only imagined to say that sort of thing, anyway? Not very, I'd guess.)
I'm a figment of my OWN imagination, dammit!
The matter has been argued every which way by philosophers for thousands of years, and there's yet to be a consensus... You can believe that nothing is real, that everything is a shadow or reflection of a real thing, or that everything is equally real... or any of the variations on any of those themes. When it comes down to it, you have to make up your own mind and live with the consequences.

Well, if I knew you better I'd give you my number and you could ring which would prove my existence. That's not likely to happen. Consider this...how likely is it that of all the varied answers which you will get all came from your own experience? I have hitch-hiked from a pagan festival in New York State to Dallas Texas. It took me 5 days to make the trip and my feet had blisters on them for two weeks after that. I slept under an underpass at one point. As I was going through Cleveland a policeman gave me $5. I bought a pack of Pall Mall non-filtered cigarettes and a 20 ounce Coke. Most of the trip was made under easier circumstances because two truck drivers were kind enough to give me a lift provided I talked to them to keep them awake. I stayed for one night in Oklahoma in a small town which I don't remember the name of. I remember passing through one town in Arkansas where everyone bore an odd resemblance to each other in their facial bone structure. The second truck driver wouldn't stop so I could pee until we got to that Oklahoma town.
How much of that have you done or heard about in such detail?

The only that I can prove you is that I'm a figment of global imagination. I'm a demigodess, a water fairy.
A good one !
I can help your imagination to grow up, and your mind to travel.
Make a wish maybe I can act it out !!!!!
Truly...

Since you are a figment of my imagination, I don't need to prove it.

It can't be proven to you. That's the way I'm imagining you to be.

The standard argument is that you're not smart enough to imagine us all. There are things on this earth that you find sublime or incomprehensible.

Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?
I can't prove it. Though if I am just your imagination, might I say this?
Bravo! I'm absolutely amazing! You did a FANTASTIC job!

We can't, just as you can not prove you are real to us. In fact, you may be dreaming this entire thing, and there really are no computers, no internet sites, and it is all in your mind...
