A computer contains the hardware to run certain kinds of software. Without software, a computer would be useless.
Computer software or games require a computer to be used. Without a computer, software would be useless.
Mind is like the software. Brain is like the computer. The difference is that both the mind and the brain are vastly more complicated than any software or computer. Also, the mind and brain together cause you to experience yourself being. Computers and software don't have experiences of being.

The brain is the physical aspect that helps internal communication co-cohesively, and helps in functioning logically.
The mind has its existence in thoughts, it is the flow of thoughts.
We walking when we use our feet, and the similarity is ,
brain is to mind , like feet is to walking. Separately there is no such thing like walking. However, even when the brain stops functioning, there could be sub-conscious mind, though not easy for on lookers to perceive, and also such mind does not find a way to manifest its functioning without the help of a brain !

My professor gave the best example of this. He brought two jars into class. Jar 1 contained a human brain soaking in formalin. Jar 2 was empty. He held up Jar 1 and said, "THIS is a brain," then held up Jar 2 and said, "THIS is a mind. Any questions?"
The "mind" is inferred from behavior. It is an extra step, an unnecessary step in the analysis of both overt and covert behavior that removes parsimony from otherwise-scientific explanantions.
