Is someone complaining? The paycheck is way better for actors.

The best CAREER move, yes. Movies pay well, he's not on the road all the time, and he's not risking injury every night.

Best move overall? No in my opinion. He is an "OK" actor, but nothing special...but he was a GREAT sports entertainer, at or near the top of his game. I'm sure he looked at acting as a new world to conquer, but I'm not seeing it personally...you can only make so many mediocre movies (Doom, anyone?), before people stop caring.

My personal prediction? He'll come back to wrestling eventually.

I think so.... The excitement would have died down and overall he wouldn't have much "respect" If he just kept up with "Do ya smell what the rock is cookin?"
I think he did it well though... He wasn't all that bad or cheesy of a wrestler and he made a somewhat smooth transition into film without sucking all that much... LoL

Let me see. He doesn't have to wrestle 300 days a year. He doesn't get injured that much. He gets to spend more time with his family. He makes way more money right now. The answer is YES. If you smelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll what I'm cooking!

I'm sure if he keeps making movies that make money then yes. If his popularity goes down he may be happy he's set aside a little nest egg.
