Part of it depends on where you live. Being a white female from Canada originally, I am lucky enough that I have very beautiful friends of all other races and depending on where we are at, will depend on who notices which one of us first.
The other part of it depends on your perception. Chances are you are being drawn to, or notice the guys who are looking at you first. And I'm sure she notices the guys that look at her first.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Each person sees beauty based upon the standard of beauty and attractiveness reflected by his/her culture. It is only natural that persons who share the same culture might see beauty first in its own cultural reflection.
Standards of beauty are determined by culture. Certain African-Tribes for example believe that a woman is beautiful only if she has a disk in her lower lip that makes it pertude and drop about two inches. Even a Black Miss America would be ugly to them because their standard of beauty differs.
It is an oversimplification and certainly a generatlization, but white men seem attracted to slinky blonds. Black men may be attracted to the same but would probably see plump thighs, well endowed breasts and petruding but perfectly formed buttocks as beautiful.
The best test is to see how your Black friends respond when they see your white friend and black friend together. In many cases they will probably look at the Black woman first then the white.
It's not the way life works, but it is the way beauty is seen through the cultural eyes of the beholder.

What difference does it make? They are checking you out, but not for any particular reason or order. Men like to see sexy women. You are being appreciated. Why not walk up to a guy and make his day by talking to him? (if you like him) Show some acceptance and try not to broadcast rejection. Many nice looking women are so stuck up. If you are going to dress to impress, expect visual attention. Race has no difference for a man. Try to grow up by acting and dressing like you want and not for the expectations of men. Women don't need to try too hard to look good, they are naturally beautiful and attractive. Maybe you all are over doing it.

Maybe it is just your perception... You notice them when they look at you, then you watch to see if they look at your friends.
Or maybe it is the way that you dress, maybe you tend to dress in a fashion that gets you noticed first.
Maybe it is a difference in personality, maybe you are more outgoing than your friends.
Then, there is the chance that it is about race ... some people will tend to look at others of the same race before they look at others of a different race.
Maybe even a combination of all of these.

when i look at women, i see the FEMALE HUMAN SPECEM. And whatever it takes to carry on our human race.
If we were all educated in the correct ways we wouldn't separate race from gender. Try it, do a little bit of reading. Expand your mind.

If only it were that simple.
Maybe they're looking at you because they're wondering if you're a wannabe or something. Lots of people these days adopting black culture and mannerisms.
Maybe they think you're all prostitutes.
No real way of knowing what they're thinking or why they're looking.

Racism or any kind of discrimination must be trash out. If you are conscious of that, just don't pay attention to ignorants ; ) let your friend know you don't mind, or even, note any difference.
