My editor took 1 look at my rambling prose, and decided it would make a perfect test of the wiki principle that collaboration can improve anything. So instead of paring the story down to a readable 80 words, we posted it as-is to a SocialText-hosted wiki on Aug 29, and announced it was open to editing by anyone willing to register.
