She probably has an infection in it. The naval is one dirty little cavity if you don't clean it with soap and water then dry completely. If she is on the heavy side it probably part way closed and doesn't get any air.Clean it then apply some peroxide on a cotton swab to it, use the hair dryer if you need to and then put some antibiotic ointment on it. If it continues to bleed best get to a doctor.

She probably had a open sore there that was not observable because she had difficulty seeing below an abdominal flap of skin. put pressure on the bleeding site and get her medical attention. someone needs to look at the site and see if she had a cut, tear, wound or injury from an untreated skin lesion that is infected.

She could have a hernia or could have ruptured something (if she is very heavy she could have stretched that area to its limit too), but if it is bleeding that badly, take her to the er. Make an appt for her with a doctor at the least.

That's really weird, because the navel doesn't really GO anywhere.

I recommend seeing the doctor for ANY sort of unexplained bleeding.

make the "i appreciate you" signal with both palms, squat lower than a chilly bathe and commenced to chant backwards, "i'm the holey bloody hollow, i'm the ceaselessly profusely bleeding navel..."

This could indicate something serious. My sister is a nurse she thinks you should take her to the doctor as soon as possible.

that happened to me once... it's due to lack of cleaning the belly button and an infection built up there. i went to the hospital because i was worried about it because it wouldn't stop. they found the infection and have me some antibiotics for it. it cleared up pretty quickly.
