so swimming is the only spots i'm good at... but the thing is i've got really, really sensitive skin. i itch just staying in the water for a few minutes... i gave up swimming before but now i want to train again... any suggestions?

The water needs to be checked first, there maybe something in the pool, old dirty water and bactria, even if they put cholrine(sp) in...

Take a bath....that will get all the swimming pool chemicals off of you that is prob what is making your already sensitive skin itchy!!! Make sure you use a good moisturizing soap and lotion everytime you bathe...My favorite lotion is Olay Body Quench for extra dry skin!! Hope this helps

Talk to your doctor. If you have sensitive skin it could be a sign you are allergic to the chemicals in the pool, it's possible they can prescribe an over the counter anti-histimine that you can take on a regular basis

lotion really helps. so does aloe gel. be sure to put on lots of sunscreen b4 u get into the water.

i have that too. just use an itch lotion after swimming.

go to a diffrent pool or tell them CLEAN THE POOL (in a nice way)

have you tried lotion like lubriderm?
