Little dogs are just for the big dogs to snack on.

I go to extremes I guess. I like dogs no bigger than a Cocker Spaniel, which I have now, or Great Danes and St. Barnards. A girl I once knew had a St. Barnard that was the most affectionate dog I've ever seen. 130 pounds and she thought she was a lap dog.

Well both are nice. I like big dogs, they are easier to pet without stooping down and they usually don't bite you as fast.
But small dogs on the other hand are nicer. They don't eat much, and you can hold them a lot easier. But they can sneak up on you and bite or rather pinch your leg and you don't even know it until they hit you.

BIG DOGS ALL THE WAY
they are generally much more loyal, act more like dogs, and dont have an anoying bark like little dogs. its like comparing men to boys :P
im so passionate about this that i've created a club known as 'mutt patrol' in which only big dogs are welcome to join

little dogs because they can sit in your lap, fit in your purse, play indoors without knocking things over. They are sweet, you can hold them like a baby.
If the dog is a yard only dog I would think of getting a bigger dog.
