Sometimes they do that when they are teething because the pressure of sucking helps to releave some of the pressure/ pain they zare feeling from cutting the tooth. She also may have just discovered that it is there and is just doing it because she can. Babies are like that. See if her gums feel swollen at all, and maybe when you notice her doing it offer her some sort of teether to help. Good luck- and enjoy her!

My uncle was actually born with a tooth. I know that sounds odd, but it is true. My mother and grandmother were talking about this when my 2 month old nephew started showing signs of teething. Drooling is actually a good sign when it comes to teething. Babies drool to make their gums feel better, especially if they are teething. She probably will cut a tooth, just get some of those magical little gummy toys, but make sure they are big enough and safe for her to chew on, without the being hazardous. Good luck.

It could mean that a tooth is coming threw but it also could mean that she is bored or just wants something to suck on!

My baby was born on the 26th of March 06 and she did this too and she just wanted to suck

Could be. put a clean finger in her mouth. If she bites it and it hurts - there are teeth coming.
