When asking for help to remove a Virus or spyware you need to give the name of them if possible. Some trojans require special removal programs.

There is an excellent program that is very good at removing most trojans. Go here and set your computer up according to this procedure:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/bugbusting.mspx

Go here and download ewido:

http://www.ewido.net/en/

When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

Start Ewido. When you run it the first time, you get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK.

On the main screen, click on Update in the left menu, then click the Start Update button.

After the Update finishes, the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful".

-- If you have problems updating see here:

http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/

Once the updates are installed do the following:

Click on Scanner

Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:

- Binder
- Crypter
- Archives

Click on Start Scan and let Ewido scan the PC

While the scan is in progress, you will be prompted to 'Clean files', click OK.

Okay, as a whole u need 3 stuffs to protect your PC - Antivirus program, antispyware program(more than 1 is gud) and a good Firewall(only one).
AVG and Avast are good antivirus programs. AVG free edition is really good
Spybot-Search and destroy and AdAware SE are good Antispyware and Antiadvare programs. Hijack this is great program. But u should know how 2 use it or it may mess things up. Learn how 2 use it in "how to section" in download.com Hijackthis blocks many spywares not detected by Spybot and AdAware SE and should be used as the last step only.
Windows Firewall is rubbish. Install Zone Alarm for free. Its the best free firewall(Firewall 2 protect in future). ZOneAlarm Firewall can block trojans contacting internet. ZoneAlarm should be configured properly, otherwise (a possibility) it may lock u from internet itself. But it is the best available firewall and free too
All these softwares mentioned here are free and safe.
Download all these from download.com.
These may help u.

Make sure u update antviruses and antispywares regularly.
U can also use Mozilla Firefox as an alternative to Internet explorer. It is more secure browser as it doesn't use activex. Scanning your pc in windows Safe Mode(press F8 during startup) is the best option to remove viruses and stuffs, because in safe mode windows loads only necessary stuffs.and trojans, viruses and spywares are most vulnerable in safe mode.

first try using an antispware/antivirus program to delete the virus, trojan, or watever it turns out to be. download AVG Antivirus, Lavasoft Ad-aware SE, and McAffee Stinger (all free) and run a scan with each of them. if by some chance they dont find and delete the viruses (and the chances of this happening are very small ) and u run out of options u can always reformat n reinstall windows (make sure u back up ur files n documents bfore doing that tho)

You should download and run hijackthis, and adware

Between them you should be able to get rid of many of the problems and they are free, if they dont work to get rid of everything then you many need to get norton or reformat and start over.

You should signin to the computer as a guest unless you are installing stuff so it doesnt happen again in the future.

You want to get rid of it and KNOW your system is clean? backup your data and reinstall from scratch.

I've never seen a single program clean up everything. I got called in by a subsidiary of a major New York newspaper publisher and spent 18 hours trying to clean up spyware/viruses/adware that they got infected with. Their own IT people couldn't do it. So good luck trying. It's not impossible... but depending what you're infected with, it might as well be.

You can buy some good anti virus software, however, if you are just going to go back to your file sharing sites, dont bother! Thats where you pick this crap up!
