in the present day i would rate it like this according to their performance recently....
1.Tendulkar
2.Ponting
3.Dravid
4.Mohammed Yousuf
5.Kallis
6.Lara
7.Gilchrist
8.Sangakkara
9.Hayden
10.Pietersen
11.Inzamam
12.Younis Khan
well this is in my opinion....the top 3 batsmen are debatable....ponting and dravid could be above tendulkar but tendulkar is always doing well whenever he plays....if not i would say Ponting is probably # 1 if sachin dont perform...Dravid doesnt convert his 50's into 100's.....that is a weak point....also sangakkara is also debatable at # 8...he also dont score many centuries....but he has won many games with his bat! does this answer ur question thoroughly?
