Or would I have to have a blood test to get my blood type. I dont recall ever giving blood to a hospital so I unless they took it as an infant they wouldn't have it.

Hi Zooba, They do take your blood from the bottom of your foot, right after your born. This is for running difference test on you,so they know you are health. There no blood type on your birth certificate(but it would be nice if it was). You will have to have a blood test done for your type of blood.Have a nice evening.

Most hospitals cross type your blood when you are born. It would not be on your birth certificate. But it should be in your medical records. Before you go and get a blood test to determine your blood type check with your doctor to see if it is in your Medical records.

Generally, a baby is not typed when its born unless there is something wrong with it. If you've ever had surgery, your blood would have been typed but only then. Its a simple test, ask your doctor to perform it for you. You can do it yourself under a microscope.

Your birth documents wouldn't have your blood type. Unless you specifically have a test to determine blood type, I don't think it would show up anywhere.

It's not on the Birth Certificate.

You'll need a blood test for that

Mine doesn't. One way to find out for free is to go donate blood at your local Red Cross. They have to type you and also screen you for HIV and some other infectious diseases (I think Hep C).
