A toner removes traces or oil, dirt, and make up. You usually tone your face after you wash your face becuase it closes your pores. You apply it with cotton.That way after you tone not as much dirt can go into your pores since they are closed. A toner is very important if you want clear skin. The best type of toner for oily skin is by Neutrogena and it is blue and its called oil controlling toner. IT really works.

a toner helps oily skin the best toner is in my opinion PRO ACTIVE i have been using it for about 2 weeks now and it has REALLY worked. To apply it you get a cotton ball and put the toner on the cotton ball and then blot where you have pimples or oily skin. Do that about 1 to 2 times a day until it is gone and if it comes back repeat it or change the brand. I don't think that toner can be home made but try researching it to see it's ingredients.

Toner is essencially witchhazel and alcohol mixed with some other chemicals that they claim will do something (they won't) so they can charge higher prices. You can't really make it at home but you can get a bottle of witchhazel mixed with a little alcohol next to the alcohom in the drug store.
The alcohol drys up oils and the witchhazel helps to soothe skin. If you have oily or acne prone skin it's a good idea to wipe your face with this stuff in between washing. Soak some into a cotton swab and swipe your face.

Herbalife. It is so amazing! It doesn't completely dry out my skin and make it flaky. It works way better than even what the dermatoligist gave to me! It is so good! I (no offense to others really) tried Proactive, but it just didn't do the trick. But this stuff really works. You should look up their stuff. It's called Nurofusion. I love it! It comes with a Cleanser, a Toner, and a moisturizer that will help even it out. And the moisterizer is definitely not oily! It's made for oily skin.

A toner is used to remove any traces of makeup and oil on your skin. It is supposed to "tone" your face for the application of moisturizer. Personally, I think the best toner is Dickenson's witch hazel. Most toners are witch hazel, alcohol, fragrance and buffers. If you don't have oily skin and you use a soapless cleanser, you shouldn't need toner.
BTW, even if you have oily skin-moisturize with an oil and silicone free product.

toner is a type of astringent used in beauty regime to close the pores and tighten them, oily skin needs a strong toner like one with a %%% of witch hazel usually or teatree oil. sensitive skin use a softer one with rose water usually as the main ingrediant olay do some nice ones that arent that expensive any drug store will sell them

well a toner refreshes skin .ive got oily skin and i use clariyfing lotion 2 by clinique.i only know how to make a toner for dry skin.rosewater,witch hazel and glycerin.

toner tightens ur skin...the best toner for oily skin is astringent..
but i heard that it makes skin rough...rose water is natural toner
...apply it for ur face thrice a day..and it really works...
