For travel....
Chicago is lousy. As if the construction and heavy traffic isn't enough, you have to deal with toll plazas everywhere because they are too cheap to just pay taxes. it ux being stuck in traffic that is subatantially caused by having to stop every few miles to pay a toll.
Otherwie, I used to say it really doesn't matter what city you live in a given area - in my case Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis - not a whole lot different.
Then I moved to Detroit. I don't say that anymore.
Miles of wasteland neighborhoods with an abandoned house every block or 2.
Lousy roads. lousy traffic. Lousy city services. Lousy retail and restaurant service. Lousy weater. Nothing notable in the area (no mountains, etc.) Declining wages. Declining manufacturing. Declining schools.
But the worse thing is, it is very expensive - high taxes, high cost of living, high cost of housing - you end up paying a fortune to live in an armpit.
Sorry Detroiters - but your city not only has a lousy reputation, it is a deserved reputation. If it asn't for Pro Hockey, Pro Basketball, the Casinos, and lenient gentleman's clubs, the city would be nothing but a poor and rapidly declining former manufacturing center.

i'm a sparkling Yorker so I hate all events communities that initiate with the word Boston or New England yet trust it or not, the city is really cool. So if I had to %. one city to HATE - Atlanta observed heavily by employing Newark. How about cities we adore?? Nashville - wonderful. Savannah - even better. really a lot the different city contained in the south it really is not Atlanta.

This is not something I enjoy answering but the city of Philadelphia came to mind instantly. While there for a competition a number of people in my sport were robbed at knife & gun point, raped, beat up, and threatened in one way of another. Our national commitee decided never to take our sport back there again!
I will really miss those cheese steak sandwiches though, we ate at least 2 a day. (one day we ate 3) Yum Yum!

Los Angeles, CA. Overcrowded, terrible traffic, sucky people, and overpriced. I've lived here all of my life but I am leaving as soon as I get my teaching credential and enough money to buy my own house elsewhere.

Right now I think it is Buffalo, NY.
It is so ghetto. Downtown has closed. The mafia has taken over and it is almost a ghostown now.
I actually liked it there when I grew up, but now it needs a miracle.
