I dont have any medical so i did get it checked out, it is fine walking around, just if i neal on it or if i put pressure on it then it hurts on the side of the knee, not the knee cap. Is there something i should be doing to make it get better? It has been 2 weeks now and it seems to be not be changing.

R.I.C.E.

Rest - Relative rest, this means not exercising or excessively walking or stair climbing.
Ice - Ice pack or frozen peas for 15 minutes.
Compression - Wrap an ace bandage from your calf up towards your thigh to control swelling.
Elevation - Elevate the knee above the heart level.

You may have a contusion, bone bruise, ligament sprain, muscle or tendon strain, fracture, meniscus tear, or subluxing patella. All of these conditions require R.I.C.E. initially and may need further treatment if they do not heal. You may also try taking an anti-inflammatory (ibuprofen or naproxen) if you do not have any adverse side effects to these medications.

I am not a doctor.

I would guess possibly a ligament or tendon injury (possibly Iliotibial Band if on the outside) Ligaments and tendons take quite a number of weeks to heal, and "full" healing may not be for months, although you will probably feel better before its fully "healed" You probably need to keep full range of motion in the knee, so lying on your back and doing some (non-painful) knee stretches may be helpful. but in the mean time, you need to listen to what your body is telling you and don't put pressure on it!

Of course, tears are a different thing altogether (I know first hand)... but we shouldn't think about that.

See a doctor. Ice it every night, and try to stay off of it. Invest in a new brace or good wrap for a while.
