Just after the 9/11 attack, when all the world was supportive and we had a world coalition willing to fight terrorism together, I was so proud to be an American. We had a chance to be the country to lead the world to democracy and freedom by our example of wanting fairness, justice, and safety for all.
I don't feel quite so good about what America has become today. The greedy have become richer according to median income statistics. Tax cuts for the wealthy, the Paris Hiltons of the world. All the while a quarter million people die each day because of the effects of poverty. We are spending billions on another stupid war that enriches the Vice President's old corporation, Haliburton, with no-bid contracts that the General Accounting Office say are a huge rip-off of the taxpayers. The taxpayers are loosing financially while the wealthy do not pay taxes. Not only that, the rich do not send their kids to Iraq to fight for America. George's two girls are unemployed, why the hell don't they enlist and support their country. Probably because they are just like their chicken hawk old man who went AWOL during Viet Nam.
It's a sick world and I'm a happy guy.

I don't know anymore. It used to be that we had pride in our country and lived with the thought that we were the best place on earth but nowadays so many corrupted people have come here selling drugs and doing their perversion that this country is becoming nothing more than the trash can of the world excepting every piece of filth and garbage that the rest of the world wants to through away. Here is too lady liberty the great garbage woman of the world.

Hmmm what do I feel in being American?
Well I feel frustrated with the whole terrorism thing, the wars, the whole middle eastern attitude against the rest of the world.
I feel proud, confident, and generally happy with most things.

What you feel in bad English grammar?
I kid, I kid. Well, it's all right. Patriotism of the country of your birth weirds me out, though; one should be proud of a country for what it does, not because that's where you were dropped. Some of my fellow Americans' "America euber alles!" attitude is frankly disturbing.
To be honest, things are starting to get worrisome at times, and I'm moving to England first chance I get. But on the balance, it's pretty okay at the moment.

I'm proud to be an American, were if I do something wrong, someones not going to cut my head off,or if I'm starving and steal a piece of bread to feed my family,my hands or cut off,or my family killed,America may not be perfect but its my home and if like the Australian leader said if you don't like our rules and belief,GET OUR AND DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN THE A**,I UNDERSTAND WHY THE SOLDIERS GO OVER THERE AND FIGHT,I'd DO THE SAME IF I WAS YOUNG ENOUGH
And DIE,if I had too,I love this country that much and if you don't,then you are a maggot living off of dead soldiers, blood, sweat, tears, and courage and love they sacrifice their life so you could live free, and then you talk bad about them, and this country,YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE,GO BE A MAGGOT ON SOME OTHER BODY,THAT YOU SHOW SOME RESPECT TO........SHAME,SHAME ON THE ONES THAT DON'T GIVE A THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON OVER THERE,SHAME ON THE ONE FOR MAKING JOKES,AND BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO THIS COUNTRY AND ALL SHE STANDS FOR,AND THE PRESIDENT,HE'S OUR LEADER,IF INSTEAD OF TRYING TO BRING HIM DOWN YOU TRY AND BUILD HIM UP THEM THE OTHER COUNTRIES WILL SEE THAT WE DO LOVE OUR COUNTRY AND SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND LEADERS,BECAUSE RIGHT NOW THEY ARE LOOKING AT ALL OF US AND HAVING A BIG FAT LAUGH,AND IT'S NOT BUSH'S FAULT,IT'S..........OUR'S

A responsibility to show maturity, and not arrogance. To be humble but strong. As of late, I have felt let down by the government.

I feel hatred from my "fellow" Americans. The people in this country suck and that's why I'm planning my exodus by year's end.
