You're right. Eddie Van Halen is the lead guitarist of the band Van Halen. Many would say he is one of the best guitarists of all time. Eddie is the one who innovated the two-handed tapping technique. He also had a use of natural and artificial harmonics, speed, melodicism, and rhythmic sensibility that influenced an entire generation of guitarists. Van Halen also holds a patent for a flip-out support device which attaches to the rear of the electric guitar. This device enables the user to play the guitar in a manner similar to the piano by orienting the face of the guitar upward instead of forward.
He was married to actress Valerie Bertonelli. There is so much more that Eddie Van Halen has contributed to music but it would take forever to list it. Check out his site if you want to learn more about what he did. http://www.van-halen.com/

Firstly, Eddie van halen is NOT a chef. He was a 70s/80s heavy metal guitarist in the band Van Halwen. He was a genius and pioneered too many things to list. He DID
*Revolutionise guitar playing
*Use a fretboadrd, which for all those that don't plat guitar is the part of the neck where tou put your left hand (If you're right handed and vice-versa) where the frets are.
*He DID NOT ever EVER host a cooking show.

Eddie Van Halen is one of the greatest legendary guitarists and makes his guitar talk like Jimmy Hendrix did on the lowest hardest to play area on the electric guitar. Eddie Van Halen is from the band Van Halen they are very big classic rock icons. Eddie was married to actress Valerie Bertonelli and they have a son named Wolfie short for Wolfgang. Maybe your friend is thinking of Wolfgang Puck who is an awesome chef for the Red carpet actors and actresses.Tomorrow I am meeting Sammy Hagar the old lead singer for Van Halen. The Red Rocker Rules! Rock On!!!

Ever heard of the band "Van Halen?" Eddie would be the founder, with his brother, and he played guitar in the band. Sammy Hagar was the lead singer, and David Lee Roth was the original lead singer until he went off on his own. Do a search and you will find out all about him and his band.

The Eddie VanHalen that i know of is considered a rock guitar god. He was lighting quick on the fretboard which is where music notes are created on a guitar. He did the guitar work on Beat IT for Michael Jackson. He was married to Valerie Bertinelli and they had a son named Wolfgang. He eventaully had his own guitar built but he tweaked out his guitars. I dunno about the Tone Loc thing but I wouldn't be surprised. I have no idea if he became a chef but I wouldn't discount it. I mean one of his former bandmate went from singing to being a paramedic, David Lee Roth. I would suggest searching for this "Chef Eddie", but last I heard Eddie VanHalen was divorced from his wife, and he was recovering from his hip surgery.
