In what ways are left handed people different than right handed, who's smarter, on average?

left-handed people are right-brained, so they are typically more creative - they like art, music, etc. they are more emotionally-based.

right-handed people are more practically-based. they are more into math and science.

i think both are just good at their craft. if you measure creativity, left-brained ppl would probably be smarter. if you measure math and science, right-brained people would probably be smarter. it all depends on which test you give them.

While there is some evidence that left-handed people are more likely to be (not the same as 'guaranteed to be') artistic than those who are right-handed, there is no evidence that they are any more, or any less, intelligent.

The artistic thing has to do with the left-brain/right-brain division and which side is supposed to have all the creativity. I'm rather 'ambidexterous-brained,' myself (great fun for messing with people who think that artistic types can't understand physics, for example), so I have no personal experience of how much being right-brained -- or left-brained -- counts for.

I have to think that left handed are smarter because they have to deal in a right handed world. The leftys that were made to write with their right hands back in the times were probably frustrated geniuses.

I'm left handed. Left handed people are obviously smarter and more talented than right handed people. If you don't believe it, just look at me.

They are also more humble.

I have the ability to write with both, but am naturally left handed. Intelligence I expect balances itself about among the left and right handed, and it is our choice whether we allow lack of common sense or ignorance hinder the intelligence and prevent wisdom glowing through ;)
