Spent plenty of time in various foster home as a child as my mother was a drunken, pill-abusing, bi-polar psycho who seemed to think I was the disturbed child because I needed attention. Another bender? Another 6 months in an emergency foster home. I'm glad you have a loving relationship with your foster child, but my experiences were not so bubbly. In fact, if I ran into any one of my foster "parents" (save for one kind soul, out of DOZENS) in a dark alley today...only one of us would be left with the use of our legs. Especially the one who took my cat to the vet to be euthanized because his precious daughter said the me having a pet was making her sad and jealous. Oh yeah, and the crackhead who used to threaten me with a razorblade in the middle of night was such a wonderful foster mate! I got to bunk with her in FOUR different homes! Oh the memories...I'm gettin' all misty-eyed now.

i have never been in a foster home and i have not been with a foster child, but who knows, you could be the first.
