there seem to be two versions of Firefox, both different from each other, the one you get from here can play yahoo videos:

I used to get that error when repairing IE, after I had used a dll cleaner. Look it up and download it or have a friend send it to you (have them do a file search)
You should be able to repair IE after that!

Re-install it!
If your Windows is Genuine, you can download the Latest Internet Explorer 7. From:
http://www.microsoft.com/
Or you can use Different Browser, Like Netscape, Firefox, AOL etc...

try updating the IE files. or simply uninstall IE and reinstall.If needed i can explain you how to take backup of ur favorites in IE.

easiest thing is to go to "remove programs" and uninstall ie 6.1
then download it again (use another browser like netscape or firefox) and reinstall.
this worked for me
