Just as there will always be some people that HAVE to stop and check out a violent, gruesome car accident or race along behind firetrucks speeding toward a big fire with their adrenalin rushing and pulse beating hard to feed a morbid curiousity that the majority of others cannot stomach or would faint from, so it is with the large audiences The Jerry Springer Show attracts. Some people who watch it will say, "It's just fun and entertainment, that's all", there's more people who would definitely find the show's subject matters and guests to be almost sickening to sit and watch and will always wonder who thinks of these show's formats and where the hell do they get these freaks to come onstage and behave so foul and eventually get into physical attacks.
Why is there still The Running of the Bulls in Spain, or cockfights for betting in supposedly "civilized" societies?

I feel the reason that Jerry Springer is still on television is because of the fact that the general audience still need bizarre guests and ridiculous stories to purposely cause blasphemy against innocent and unexpecting people, just for the pure entertainment of the simple-minded individuals that sit in front of the television at odd hours of the day and night just to get a laugh or two.
