whoa!!!
first question is why do you want a child? is it because you are trying to fill a void in your life? how was your childhood? did your parents not give you the attention you felt you should have received? most young mothers decide they want to bring a child into the world because they feel they have soooo much love to give and they missed out on that growing up. but honestly having a child is a HUGE responsiblity.
i have a 2 month old nephew, his mother is 30, unmarried but has a good career making plenty of money to support him. However no amount of money could compare to the amount of hard work it is to raise a child. I watch my nephew quite often and i love him very much but the amount of attention a newborn needs is crazy. most babies need to be fed every 2 to 3 hours, and changed amost every few hours. sometimes he crys for no reason, sometimes for a whole hour, only because he wants to be held, you cannot leave a baby for a second, a child is a 24 hour job. that baby is your life, forget about ever having a "normal" social life. Babies dont sleep on the same schedule as adults do, so forget about sleeping more than 2 hours at a time. You cant take a shower unless the baby is safe with someone or asleep, and even then your constantly worried if hes still breathing. I remember the first week he was born when i watched him over night i didnt sleep the entire night because every half hour i was checking to see if he was still alive. anyway a baby is a big responsibility, you have no idea what you can get yourself into. you need to be financially, emotionally and physically ready to have a child. and you need to have a father figure for your kid. i dont care how independent you think you are. that kid needs someone else besides you. you cant do it all, you dont want to struggle, wait till you have an education and a good job, a house and a stable relationship before you have a kid. i know when i have a baby i want to be able to give that child everything i didnt have.

DO NOT HAVE A BABY.just wanting to have a baby is not a good enough reason to have one.
You should only have a Baby if you : Are/HAVE.
1.Above the age of 18.
2.An education. Not just high school.Trade school or College
3. A good job.So you can support it.It is expensive to raise a child.
4.Responsible enough. You you don't think you are then your not.

Try to babysit someone children you know and See how you handle that,or go around friends or family members you know that have kids and just hang out and see what they go through to take care of these kids. Its isn't really hard just a major responsibility. And make sure your just mentaly fit and finical secure cause its not cheap to raise kids these days. And when you feel ready it will happen don't rush give it time and it will be alright.

DO NOT HAVE ONE! Babysit; you can have fun playing with a baby and then when the parents return, you get to leave. You don't sound very old and the older you are, the better equiped a person is to take care of a child.

Well your at a good start by asking for help! Most towns have parenting classes. Also there are tons of people who feel or have felt like you do. You'll know what to do when the time comes!

We have enough people in this world raising children, when they should never have had them in the first place, don't add to it. If you really want to have children volunteer at a nursery or a daycare, and see what its like and if you can't handle it you'll know if your ready to be a mother.

A baby is a HUGE responsiblity, you are responsible for everything, food, shelter, diapers, every single thing that person will need. DO NOT DO IT untill you know you are ready. If you question it at all, you are not ready. A baby is VERY expensive and time consuming.

Well, in case you haven't realized it, you're already more responsible than you think...that was a responsible question to ask, and one that a lot of people should ask before they just start screwing around.

GOOD for you!
