I really dont think there is any other way to remove a birthmark but plastic surgery. Try and be PROUD of your birthmark instead of ashamed...I know, easier said than done but my husband has a birthmark on his back and BOTH of our daughters were born with the SAME birthmark. It's almost like a family heirloom now. It's pretty great....I bet you are beautiful with your birthmark...and someone who loves you will think the same! Good luck to you.

I had a port wine stained birthmark on my leg. I tried all of those birthmark coverup things. They never worked, they were basically makeup on a stick. I had to get Vascular Laser Surgery. It took about two years of surgery, once per month for a visit.
I understand how you are probably self-consience about it. I was for years. My insurnace covered my surgey because the type of birthmark I had was a birth defect that my insurance covered. Otherwise it could cost you a lot of money.
To let you know. Since I did have one... I would never judge anyone for having one. I just didn't like my own. You think everyone is looking at it, when in fact they aren't! Just smile, that will distract them! Plus, it is on your back, not right above your knee how mine was. Here is a picture of it after a year of surgery. It used to be a dark dark red. What kind of birthmark? Is it like a mole? Is it raised or is it just a dark splotch of skin?
You can't really get rid of them. If it's just a dark splotch of skin, and you feel self-conscious, then try to cover it with Dermablend. It's a cream makeup that is specifically designed to cover scars, birthmarks and tattoos. Only if it's a dark patch of skin, there are some skin lightening creams on the market. I'm not going to attest to the safety or performance of these products, but they are out there. (Porcelana is one sold in my neck of the woods, it's meant for age spots.) However, I wouldn't try to use it on any raised spot or mole. It just seems like it's not going to end well. (cancer?)
If none of these options work for you, then just rock the spot! Each person is born unique, and this can be viewed as something beautiful if you have a positive state of mind.

birthmarks are perminent and cannot be gone rid of. with a birthmark that big, i wouldn't be worried too much on how to get rid of it but if it is changing or anything like that. watch for sudden change in your birthmark because it could mean you have cancer. not to scare you or anything, just to help you out.

I don't think it does, especially if the mark is big. I also think this mark is apart of you. Why would you want to get rid of something that works with your individuality? As ugly as it may be to some of the ignorant in society, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And confidence definitely helps with that.

I dobt there are any products that do such a thing. It would have to be surgically removed and that would leave a scar. I guess if you get a really good plastic surgeon and pay him a lot he could do it. Maybe laser it. Also dont try to bleach it or do weird crap to it because that can lead to cancer.
