In China Prisons there are more dissidents (Pro Democracy) than actual Criminals. Is it correct? Why the communist’s parties try to crush the activities?I feel happy if Chinese people give me response. (Recently one dissident told Press about writing the abuses met at Prison. )

The Communist Party has been ruling China since 1949 and does not want to let go of power. Those who are in power have a personal interest in keeping the system the way it is.
Historically and culturally, freedom has never been prized in China the way it is in the West. China is a more conformist, less individualist society. Perhaps it's because so many people have lived in so little space for centuries.

don't believe so much of what u hear on American TV or what you've read in books... the Chinese communist party pays for your education and treats the retired well etc. etc. ....... there is no reason that we need a Democracy because we basically r a democracy... and so what u can't talk about the government?? y would u? that just means u r unappreciative and ANY human hates unappreciative people..... millionaires and billionaires r rising in China and we r gonna have the olympics in 2008... SO TALK IS CHEAP .... ACTIONS MAKE US.... we don't start wars for no reason at least.. weapons of "bullshit destruction"... those dissidents r trying to stir trouble just as they don't appreciate.. we aren't Stalinists.... think about it... there is no secret police...
