Usually workers comp doesn't kick in right away. Check with the labor board of your state or the HR dept of your work. Chances are it will be your own personal sick time for at least the first 2 days. That is so people don't abuse the workers comp as much.

Worker's Compensation should pay you for time off. You were injured on the job. All medical bills as well as pay should be covered. Ask employer if he even filed with his workers compensation. (some just pay medical bills instead of filing to avoid increase in rates) If he has not filed with insurance then he should as soon as possible. You could have problems from this accident arise somewhere in the future and a report should be submitted. If he is unwilling to cooperate get an attorney.

Usually worker comp doesn't kick in for 3-7 days of continuous time off work. Check with the HR department and get the information before taking the sick time. A reportable accident can be very costly for companies and one with time off work can increase the cost (increased insurance premiums for the company, reporting to OSHA). Make sure you get all the info before doing anything.

it all depends, most large businesses, and esp. mines. there are three types of accidents; first aid, lost time, and fatal. if you seen a company doctor, then it is the company's decision, if you seen your doctor, it is your doc's and your own decision, but the company may still give you days off without pay.. back injuries are common with falls, because of this, and how hard it is to prove severity, it is a common precautionary measure. as far as it being sick days, the laws very a little within each state for smaller companies.

it depends on the place of work, some employers have different rules, falling at work will go under workmans comp if it is a serious injury workmans comp will pay your medical bills perscribtions and so fourth also will send you a check for days missed at work depending on how long you are off for.all though this happend at work the company might dock you on your sick leave.

You have a scum bag for a boss! He is obligated under both federal and state law to provide workers compensation which is what you are entitled to! Demand he file so as to be protected in the future should any medical reason arrise. Should he still want to play games -report him to your state workers compensation board immediately!!!!! DO NOT LET HIM GET AWAY WITH HIS SCAM!!!!!!! YOU, YES YOU WILL BE THE LOSER!!!!!!!!!! He's looking out for number one at your expense!!!!!!

No, if you fell on the job, then workman's comp should pay for your medical bills, prescriptions as well as your time off from work.

You did file an accident report didn't you? make sure you keep a copy of it for yourself. It is sick time if you were unable to work due to illness or injury...it doesn't matter where you got hurt.

Did you fill out a claim? That should have been the 1st thing you did. You may be able to gain your sick days back retroactively once your claim is approved.
