I'm married, not on birth control,i was two weeks late today, then this afternoon i started spotting very light brownish reddish, then it was more, and has stayed the same, it's not a lot, but it's dark, not bright red like it's supposed to be!

Is this wierd, or does this happen to you all sometimes?

Be careful about taking medical advice on Yahoo. I think it's nasty of people to suggest that you could be miscarrying.

I take a pregnancy test whenever my period is late.

Brown is always old blood. Which we have in our uterus and can excrete sometimes. If you are pregnant, you could secrete old blood from your vagina. If it does not turn to bright red blood and you think you are pregnant you can take a home pregnancy test now. However, if you do not have a normal period next month and are not pregnant, I would make an appointment with my GYN.

This has happened to me before too.. usually, if you wear a pad too long, the blood can turn brownish, when its old and not fresh.

Good luck!

If you haven't recently changed your lifestyle like started working out more vigerously on a daily basis and you haven't started taking a new vitamin or medication or changed from your normal diet...You should see you gyno. and read up on H.P.V. (#1 cause of Ovarian Cancer)

It can happen at times. See if it continues or goes away. Eat healthy and take your vits, and try to relax and have less stress.

If goes and you don't get a period next month take a test.
