I'm so sad that someone responded and said "kill your self in 3 hrs." that is just cruel.
Dude a three hour flight will go by so fast. trust me. By the time you get seated and you are able to turn on the approved electrical devices that's almost 30 min. into the flight. Most of the time they have ear phones they give out on the plane for a small fee. I used my I-pod earphones to access the planes radio and I watched a movie. Get ready, read and most of all Relax
Enjoy your flight.

I wonder how you keep yourself occupied in a regular day. Three hours is not very long - really. In addition to the other good responses (except for kill yourself), you could actually have a conversation with your seatmate. You might make a new friend. Of course, if your seatmate doesn't seem interested, then it's back to the music, books, puzzles or nap.

i always take a book & magazines. I also enjoy a window seat, and pass some of the time looking at the land pass by below (if it is a clear day)
by the way, 3 hours will go fairly quickly.

I never sleep on planes. I take 2 magazines, my ipod and a puzzle book of some sort- word search, etc. That kills 5 hrs with a meal or snack.
Happy flying!

a pal of mine had this adventure. The previous Stapleton airport in Denver became a confusing place to land via winds interior the mountains. My chum reported that when landing there, in undesirable climate, the airplane hit the floor and bounced back interior the to return down confusing returned. while the airplane became on the floor and taxing to the terminal the pilot got here on with this remark "women and gents we've merely landed at Denver's Stapleton airport, two times."

Get a window seat and look out of the window. Preferably with a camera.
I never cease to be amazed, and I travel a lot.
