While your method is fair, how many people care to be fair? People always side with those that agree with their viewpoint. They do the same in their daily lives so with the luxury of this site, they chose people that fit in with their intellect. I have seen many answers based on illogical reasoning, but they were the chosen ones...apparently they found a soul-mate. If you read the questions and the first few answers, you know where the answer will lay.

There is this thing called free will. Basically, you have the choice to vote however you wish to. If you choose to vote for points made in the answer, that is your choice. If someone else wishes to vote on point of view, that is their choice.
It is also human nature to tend to agree with those that hold the same point of view as you do. You know - birds of a feather. . .
Quit your whining and do as you wish. Everyone else will. And by the way, I am sure that many of the people that you have "insulted" will vote this question a big THUMBS DOWN.

maybe your intellect is too high for yahoo answers.Try doing something that isnt quite as boring..,at least its entertaining.People vote on the political issues because a person may have grasped the point of view the asker was trying to communicate. Some people are too lazy to read the answers and just vote for the 1st answer.I read someone doing that on the chat and then they had the same type of arguement that you did.Everyone had a different point of view.

most of the questions in the political section are not from people trying to find something out. They are from people trying to prove a point. So, when someone agrees, they get the vote.
There is no "right" answer to a political question; Only opinions.

I don't always vote for the answer I agree with. Sometimes I almost totally DISagree with an answer, but I'll vote for it anyway because it's thorough, intelligent, and made me think. In other words, I think it's the BEST answer, but not necessarily the answer I would have given.

Not always, but when most of the answers are . blank you, blah%$&*^% blah again! you either pick the least offensive or let the voters choose.
I won't hesitate about picking an answer that has a different view point , especially if it gives me a new a slant on the subject, without being too abusive. I have a tendency to be pretty caustic, but can take it as well as dish it out, but I truly resent filthy mouthed low-lives who are fortunate enough to be allowed an audience for their trash talk.

Because not everything on here is fact-based. Some people do ask questions for advice on here. In that case you are going to go with the answer that makes the most sense to you.

Since I base my political decisions on what I believe to be a rational thought process, it is not suprising that those that have a similar thought process as I do are going to reach similar political conclusions.

Would it not be stupid to vote for an answer that you did not agree with? Stay off the kool aid.
