Usually means the same as "Cut" from the team.

But if you're good, they won't do that.

In that case it means basically don't show up for practice, come to the game and play.

The signal is set for others, everyone knows you got disciplined and if they have to do it to another player less skilled their dismissal will be unargueable cause the "dismissed" you.

It depends on the school district you play football. Temporarily dismissed more often than not means that you are not on the football team until further notice. You can not practice, play or participate in any functions concerning the football team until you have been allowed to return to the team on an active status.

temporarily dimissed means your cut from the team until the coach says you can play again, it doesn't mean that you going to be cut forever and must likely you can't go to practices either but to be on the safe side talk to your coach.

Make sure you show up to practice. I coach HS football and we like it when you stand up for yourself and show us you can overcome adversity. Even if he tells you to leave, he will know you are not going to give up.
