yes it does work . its the ingredient in all the expensive strips and gels that does all the whitening. but i have heard that it isnt great for the enamel so only do it every now and then. and it tastes bad so put some mouth wash in with it. if you want something else to whiten teeth i have used "Plus White 5 minute whitening gel" it is cheap (about $5 for a tube of it) and very quick easy and effective (i think i works better than anything. youll notice results in 1-2 weeks after daily use.

Maybe so maybe not, what ever the case if you use it on a regular basis even at half strength you risk getting a condition known as "hypertrophied filiform papillae of the tongue (furry tongue), which disappears after using it has discontinued".

Dentists sometimes recommend using diluted hydrogen peroxide as a mouth rinse on a short term basis to treat gingivitis.

Only if you use 3%. It is also good to use baking soda as that also freshens your breath along with whitening your teeth and I believe it would be less damaging to the enamel.

Yes...it's the 'old fashioned way'...but you must 'dilute' the peroxide/water....ask a pharmacist if you'r e not sure....I believe that you might use a very small amt.(ie: tablespoon) and triple the h20....ask, so you're not overindulging.....although they may not be interested in recomending on this level...good luck...

My dentist said its a bad idea because it dissolves the enamel of your teeth making them more susceptible to cavities.
