When I was much younger I would just ask what it meant. But later on I did start looking up words that my parents didn't use. Ex. The F word was never said in my house so I didn't ask about that one. I figured if they didn't use it I would only get in trouble if I asked about it.

Yes. It gets even better when there are new dirty words in the defintions of the original words.

Uhhh, what's the definition of kid? I still look them up in new editions or look for slang words like schmegma and stuff.

I took spanish in HS and tried to look up words there I could use in english. Like: mierda del toro

Probably so. I actually use it to look up normal words now, I have one on my desk. And then I highlight the really good ones...I'm weird like that ;)

No, but I did look up the word bugger, my Mom always said: you little bugger, so I looked it up and showed it to her, IE; buggery, she was embarrassed and didn't say it anymore, God rest her soul, I miss her and would give anything to have her here saying that to me.

why should i do that? at school, there was plenty of abusive language being spoken
