When Bin Laden is caught it will actually be of more interest here than anywhere else. I think catching Bin Laden will make Americans even more disinterested in continuing to watch our soldiers die in Iraq.
Bin Laden will quickly be replaced unfortunately. There is no shortage of whack job Islamists.

It won't stop them from trying to attack the US. Neither will it matter when Bush is out of office. They attacked the World Trade Center in 1993 when Clinton was in office, with the intent of bringing down the towers at that time. Terrorism was a problem before Bush and it will be after he is gone. I don't think catching OBL is going to make much difference either way, where terrorism is concerned, but it would be a great psychological victory.
As a side note, I don't think it is very nice of those posters who seem to making light of attacks in the US. We were attacked on 9-11 and in 1993 in our own country--our country has also been attacked by terrorists overseas several times during the last couple of decades (the Cole, Lebanon, etc.) People lost their lives in all of these attacks, including the ones in the US.

Bin Laden has been attacking the US and it's interest for the last 15 years.
When Bush leaves, he or his henchmen will continue the battle. If we vote in a Liberal Democrat, I would almost guarantee that they will hit the USA again.
They do not respect cowards and people who have jelly for spines. The Democrat's are pacifist and they will never be respected by the terrorist.
By the way, Terrorism showed it's ugly face back in the 70's. The war of terrorism started LONG before we have. We are catching up with the battles..

There is an apparent total lack of knowledge (by those posting) regarding what an intifada really is.. and where it originates as well as what its intentions really are. It is jihad or in other words, kill the infidel. In this case it is all of the civilized western world. The US being the biggest and needs to fall, the other nations will fall rapidly when the US is reduced to those who accept islam and those who didn't.. they will be dead. Thus simplifying the plan of Islam. they are under a commandment that tells them to make Islam the one world religion.
Perhaps that may enlighten you to the seriousness of this war we are in at the moment and also why the military is so very important.. they know full well what they are fighting for.. is just those who want to continue with blinders, who are not aware of what we are faced with. As well as listen to all the hate mongers we have in this country.
How short the memory is or maybe everyone was too young to have witnessed it but, there have been terrorist attacks on american sites for more than 20 years.. they finally got emboldened enough to come to the home soil with their destruction.. Bush had nothing to do with any of those attacks.. except now he has begun to fight back to offer us at least some protection..The objective of the terrorists has not changed just because Bush went after them. It still remains the total elimination of western civilization.
Capturing bin laden would be only an incidental event, having no great consequence.

Bin Laden is dead.
Al Qaeda did not exist on 9/11.
Bush is just a puppet of the Illuminati, and when he is replaced, the next person will be also. They are the ones who control the Federal Reserve, major banks, major industry, what is taught at school, and most things in our social environment,
They have installed extremely effective mind control methods, which keeps most people unable to analyse and understand the truth

capturing ubl would do nothing to stop the attacks. too many other groups involved and al quaida is not as effective as it was b4 9/11.
i do not see much change unless we destroy these radical islamists.
what is going to have to happen is for the moderate moslem leaders to put their weight into stopping the radicals.
perhaps if the western powers started destroying the moslem holy sights and shut down their schools and mosques we could get some action towards stopping the radicals.
i would have no problem if we (the US) declared war on islam, rounded up all the moslems that are not native-born us citizens and shipping them back to their home country and locking the rest of them up.
we have never had to fight a group with the combined IQ of a cockroach b4 so different tactics may be necessary.

Bin Laden was hired back in teh day to defeat Russia. See the thing about the US is when they hire these kind of people they ussually do them dirty. So inturn Osama cut his relations with the US. He is a rich man and money isnt much of a factor. See there are records that Bin Laden immediatly refused the blame for 9/11 it doenst make scence for him to do it. Dont llimit yourself to one stream of news because here in the US it is extremely baised. No offence to the US, the US is awesome but it has its faults. In any case chances are ither Osama is dead or the US knows where he is and is putting up a hoax. It is obvious that finding Bin Laden has dropped out of the to do list.

I believe Bin Laden was killed during the air strikes in the Afghan mountains. Surely if he was still alive it would have been him who appeared on the video released to coincide with the 5th anniversary of 9/11 instead of his number 2.
Obviously they wouldn't admit his death as this may damage their cause and, since there is no one to replace him that could command such attention they allow his myth to live on.

In reality, Bin Laden is just one of many.
I don't believe his capture will stop terrorism.
Bush has opened a can of worms that is unstoppable.
The Muslim extremists wont stop even if he is no longer in power and the rest of the world will continue living in fear.
Or is Bin Laden to blame.......
