As soon as the first caveman invented religon, he started using it to make people obey. Hence its intro into politics.

By the way, though its not innaccurate to say that most of our founding fathers believed in God. It IS accurate to say that NONE of them were evangelical christian fundamentalists. Many of them, also were Free Masons. That organization existed to promote the ideas of the Enligtenment, including the idea of the separation of church and state. An idea which was discussed by our founding fathers often, and generally considered by them to be a grand idea.

Have you read a history book lately... no not one that was written by Al Gore.... no the real one about America...

All of the founding fathers held a deep belief in God and had one type or another form of Christianity. It's when athiesm and a misintrepretation of the "separation of church and state" [which by the way is not in the constitution] came into politics that messed it all up.
