i know i asked this question b4, i just would like more answers

Ok I started High School a week ago, and love it. I LOVE my school. (obviously, im a freshman) i used to be more introverted, but now i see myself talking to and making friends with people i like. I was wondering: do you think it is moral to be friends with someone out of pity? like there are a few kids who get teased a little about their looks, brains, etc, behind their backs, and i feel bad for them. It feels like if i dont be friends with them, im being a bad person. Please, Im looking for real answers, and i would appreciate any advice. THANX!!!

I think that if you are friends with them on different levels and you like other things about them then no, it's not bad to be friends with them. If you're ONLY friends with them because you pity them and that's the only dynamic for you then yes, it's immoral to be friends with them. Imagine that you have a friend that you think is a good friend but deep down inside they only hang out with you because they pity you. wouldn't that make you resent them? I'd say find things about them that you can be friends with, otherwise you're walking down the wrong path.

I think you should be friends with them. You have no idea who or what they may become in life. Who's to say one may not be a Congressman, Mayor, Governor or President in time. Never judge a book by it's cover. These people that some may consider less than them,l feel most will do better in life than those gossiping. Never treat anyone the way you don't want to be treated.

Well it's not morally obligated but it is morally nice of you to be their friends. I think you should make friends with them. I'm sure it will make a great difference in their life and high school experience. Enjoy your high school years!

As long as you really care about being friends. There is nothing wrong with it. Sometimes they are better friends than the popular kids or kids in the spotlight.

hmm as long as you sincerely are concerned about them then its ok but watch your motives and pride y'know but thats great that you see that what the others are doing (making fun) is wrong and you dont want to be a part of that
