Had a bad eye infection in both eyes about six years ago. First eye doctor incorrectly diagnosed it as just being irritation and gave me steroid drops to help. My eyes would get so inflamed and itchy that I would constantly pull out my eyelashes because I though they were in my eyes and that was what was irritating them. About a year later, I saw another eye doctor that told me I had an infection in both eyes and gave me antibiotics and it went away. However, ever since then, I have this predeliction for pulling out my eyelashes. I don't really go after the ones on my bottom lids, but my top lids are constantly under attack and are starting to get to the point where they are not growing back in spots. I'm desperate to stop this but I think may have gotten to the point where this is now a nervous tick (ie. I do it when I'm nervous or under pressure, etc...) and I don't want to look like a freak with no eyelashes. Has anyone ever had experience with this and/or have any adivce?

like alot of habits, this one can cause damage to your appreance and maybe even health. just think whenever you have the urge to pluck, to think how weird you would look without eyelashes..women go to great lengths to get thick, full, long lashes, and they really can enhance your eyes. try to think of it that way. i have heard of habits like hair pulling and it may relate to another problem. maybe go to therapy? it may be like a little obsessive compulsive...because you are afraid of something that is not in fact true..your eye lashes did not cause or harm your eye infection. we all get them.
good luck

An eyelash curler should not be pulling out our lashes. fairly some curlers are formed in yet in a various way via fact of course each and every physique has diverse eye shapes. Yours maximum probable is the two too short or too curved that's why your inner and outer lashes have become snagged. that is going to likely be a splash trial and mistake yet as quickly as you hit upon the ultimate one you are going to appreciate via fact your lashes will curl superbly and easily. I recommend going to sephora to envision many manufacturers at as quickly as. those that are maximum popular is Shu Uemura, Tarte, and particular Shiseido. Sephora additionally has the mini eyelash curlers which you would be able to curl a splash section at a time which grants greater administration considering which you could curl much less on the internal nook yet greater on the outer nook for a cat eye look. desire this permits and robust success =)

I did that once when I was a freshman in high school. I have an eye disease and before I was diagnosed I was under the impression that I had eyelashes in my eyes. Anyway, now that I know it's the disease and not the eyelashes I've never pulled them out again. I totally understand.
