Okay this is a long story, but you are up for it. Well it all started November of last year when my school started a new trimester. There was this girl in my economics class that I was sure I had never seen before. I could not stop looking at her, and over the course of the next 12 weeks I think she might have noticed. So it was then the middle of January, and time to begin picking prom dates. I knew that I was going to ask her, and that she was going to say yes. So one Friday I sat by her in class, and at the end of the class I introduced myself and she said "I know your name, we have been in the same class since November". At that point I think that she is going to say no for sure, but I had to ask, I had to know. So then I just said it "would you like to go to prom with me?" The first words out of her mouth were "You are an idiot." Now one might think that that was a rejection as I did, but then after a few seconds she said "you have been staring at me for twelve weeks, and I have been waiting for you to ask me, but you never did, so I told my friend from church that I would go with him just as friends." I was very relieved. I did not get to go to prom with her, but I went with a couple of guy friends that had no dates and we danced a few times, but we started dating a few weeks before prom, so it was like I could not even go with my own girlfriend. I would have thought that other peckerhead would let me take her but he did not. That was my senior year in highschool, and we dated until a few weeks ago. We were both going to college (her in Colorado, me in Houston) so we sort of said goodbye and have a good life, all that crap. Have'nt spoken with her since though she has called 80 million times. I have my mother that calls already I do not need more. Sorry for the novel, but i'm bored. It is Friday night, and all my friends are out getting hammered, but I have to stay in my dorm room, as I have class that was rescheduled for 8:00am tomorrow.

Take a girl. I'm in the same situation. It's my senior prom and i could find a date if i wanted to but its hassle sooo me and my best friend who also has no date are going to go together. I know ton of people who do this and have a great time, sometimes even more then if they took a guy friend. Prom isnt about being with a guy its about enjoying the little time you have left with your classmates and looking good

My boyfriend's foster brother. My boyfriend had enlisted in the Air Force and already left for Basic Training by that time. I became good friends with his foster brother, but he was a grade behind us. He wanted to go to Prom so badly, because the girl he liked was going to be there without a date. So, we went as friends, and he had a great time! I, on the other hand, sat in the corner and cried most of the evening, because I missed my honey.

Junior prom went with my bf. We were dating for a while before prom so it was just a casual "hey, are you going to my prom"? (We went to different HS)

For senior prom, I reverted back to 5th grade. Was supposed to go with the same guy as jr prom but relationship was way on the rocks (that'll happen if he has threesomes with your two supposed best friends). But he bailed with some lame excuse that someone else asked him first and he felt obligated to go to that girl's prom.

So, my other friends found someone else who wanted to go but didn't have a date. He asked his friend to ask me if I'd like to go and I asked his friend to tell him yes but platonically.

I was a good samaritan during my prom, actually.

I had a date, but for half of the prom I had to hang out with my lesbian friend.

Her parents didn't (and still don't) approve of her lifestyle. And she had a girlfriend back then. The plan was for me to be the "mock date" for the night. But one of her parents was also one of the teachers responsible for putting the prom together (the bastard). So he was there for a good long time.

We even kissed mid-dance to scare him away.

As soon as he left, my lesbian friend and her girlfriend got together, and I joined my date, who was just a friend.
