If you have already installed iTunes, then what you could do, is take your iPod into the apple store and ask them to let you rip your CD's and copy them to your iPod with their computers (they'll probably let you use their demo computers without you asking). Otherwise try to install iTunes, you need to copy the songs with iTunes!!!!!! (p.s. If you update your iPod operating system with a Macintosh, the problem will be that the Hard Drive will be reformatted to a format that windows cannot read (mac os can read windows formatted disks), you can still add music to it if it is windows format, just not update the operating system).
