Do people live in them ever for real?

I was born in Alaska..if you do,picture please?
or anything about Alaska I should know?

No, people don't live in igloos anymore :)

Even the original Eskimos that used igloos only used them temporarily while hunting.

If you visit Alaska, you won't see any igloos. The Native Alaskans generally live in villages, and while they still use traditional methods to hunt, they also use modern methods, too. The villages usually have supplies flown in, because they don't have road access, and sometimes there won't be running water or sewer (in more traditional villages).

Alaska is a beautiful place; one of the last great and untainted areas. I've lived there for nearly all my life, (had to move to Alabama for work) and I miss it very much.

I don't think Eskimos live in igloos so much any more - but traditionally they did. Igloos are what nomadic people used, and I think nowadays most Eskimos live in towns and villages.

If I had an igloo it would be made of chocolate.

I lived in Fairbanks for 17 years, and never saw a single igloo...nor did I hear of anyone actually using them.

A 5 star one of course with hot and cold running water. Spa and fully appointed bathroom. Kitchen with the works and of course the butler and maid to do all the work!

well up here in canada snce it is totally frozen over as soon as you pass the boarder we all live in igloos but do to the americans and global warming we ar running out of ice to continue building them we beg of you please stop your polution its melting our homes we have to use generator to keep the houses frozen if possible we would like you to ship any ice you might have up
