yep, they do it all the time. As a matter of fact our founding fathers would freek out if they knew what protective services does. First of all when you are are arrested the police have very strict laws which they must obey to protect our right. They must have probable cause to arrest you, And you have due process which you are entitled to(a court trial). With our legal system you are innocent untill proven guilty, and you are protected from double jeopardy (being tried for the same crime twice) but when protective services come to kidnapp your child they don't have to tell you a thing, except that you can hire an lawyer. How is that for fair. All anyone has to do is call CPS without giving their name and make false claims that you are endangering/ or abusing your child and next thing you know you will be setting up visitation. It's wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. But it all for the good of the children. Yes the children

H.R. v. State Department of Human Resources, 612 So. 2d 477 (Ala. Ct. App. 1992); the court held that an anonymous tip standing alone never amounts to probable cause.

Child Protective services visit thousands of homes every day to follow up on complaints made by mandatory abuse reporters. They do not remove children for 'no reason.' The child is removed if they are in immediate danger. Every state has different laws determining this.

All parents should know their fourth amendment rights and stand on them. Vote for legislators who are pushing the reform of social services and feel parental rights are vip.

Urm this is a no longer user-friendly a million yet i could get advice off some1 till now you do something. they do no longer sound like good parents in the event that they're letting a infant play around with lighters and haven't any nutrition interior the cuberds. Social amenities do no longer likely look fascinated in recent times as I phoned them on a kin member some years lower back because of the fact the mum grew to become into ingesting and taking drugs in a neighbours living house all day and her childrens of three and 5 have been roaming the streets in tshirts and ravenous interior the iciness. They used to bypass out maximum nights and leave the youngsters an in no way had nutrition interior the cuberds. Social amenities considered if as a malicious call and took it not extra and 5 years on no longer something has replaced. they have 4 childrens. nonetheless ingesting and taking drugs and utilising the youngsters around decrease than the infulance and the youngsters are no longer often at college. this is a comedian tale cuz those childrens choose conserving and that they are nonetheless with the parents

There was a dateline special where a neighbor repeatedly filed child abuse complaints against two parents who lived next door. Police and social services never found any evidence of abuse, but she kept filing reports. The parents claimed the neighbor had a vendetta against them and was trying to punish them. Social services finally came and took the kids. The show ended with them fighting to get them out of foster care.

I believe it can happen. Social services has nearly unlimited power.

They have to have probable cause before they can come in and take a child. (bruises, constant compaints, proof)

I knew someone that called the child services on my husbands ex wife. They dropped in and inspected the place but did not remove the child.
