It's said that your eyes can pop out if your eyes aren't closed. It might have something to do with sinus pressure, and why folks can squirt fluids out of their eye (air pressure.)
"It is almost impossible for one to keep one's eyelids open during a sneeze, although some rare individuals report having little if any trouble doing so. The reflex of shutting the eyes serves no obvious purpose: the nerves serving the eyes and the nose are closely related, and stimuli to the one often trigger some response in the other. The closing of the eyes may be to protect the tear ducts and blood vessels from bacteria expelled in the sneeze."

Some people( a very select few probably not human) can sneeze with their eyes open but the majority of us can't. Your heart beat doesn't stop when you sneeze and if that did happen you'd would be in some serious trouble.

i dont think it's possible, but I am not a professional so really couldnt tell ya...
Although I have heard if you sneeze with ur eyes open then u reyes will pop out of ur head! lol...who knows where people come up with this stuff!!!! I am sure there r lots of myths of sneezing with ur eyes open!

closing our eyes while sneezing is a part of your reflex system.
So better not try to do anything against the reflex.
process is designed so as to absorb the energy caused by pressure variations inside our respiratory system and avoid damage to the nerves and delicate muscles

yes, thats what is said & popularly believed too. but don't think can give u any references on this. its also said that the heart stops for a fraction of a second thats why we say bless u!

It is not possible. Also another piece of information about the sneeze it also stops your heart for one millisecond.

You can NEVER sneeze with your eyes open..... it's a proven fact just like you can never lick you elbow...... if you see someone sneezing with their eyes open, i'm sure their faking it.....
