To Drunk Penguin: put down the booze. Chivalry is not dead.
though It is definitely a breath of fresh air when a man does not equate masculinity with discourtesy and rudeness. Chivalry still fits in with a man's role in society

Chivalry is a good thing and has it's place in today's society. But "it's place" seems to be getting smaller all the time.

I like to be treated well by a man. Even in a store if a man holds the door open for me or lets me go first through checkout, I smile and say thank you to him. (And I am sincere in thanking him)
I also feel that women should be just as respectful to men because they have feelings too and enjoy a little pampering.

Chivalry is alive and well in my life. I think each woman is treated according to how she allows herself to be treated. If you want your doors to be opened then, then you should be with a man who opens your doors.

I personally wish that it was more socially acceptable to be a feminine woman. I love when men still treat women as if they were the fairer sex.

It's alive and well in the South.
Instances of it are few and far between in the North, at least from what I've seen during my travels.

I totally think it should be brought back. Guys are so inconsiderate sometimes and I think it would be nice if they acted like gentlemen for a change.
