I have heard the other part of his theory, that the Mexicans want to regain their lost territory and reinstate their culture and ultimately declare the Southwest to be part of Mexico, and do this by continuing to send people across the border as well as having the people already here promote their language and culture.
So I guess the other part is that securing the border and making sure everyone who is already here is "Americanized". Not sure what he means by "assimilated or "Americanized".
He just seems to demonize the "Mexican culture " a bit to much....kinda strange as a big part of the culture is Roman Catholicism -- his religion also.
And I don't really think there is any big plan on the part of the Mexicans to do what he thinks the Mexicans are doing . Pat tends to be a mite simplistic in his thinking.

I have read his book and the man sounds a lot like Hitler stirring up fear of a minority. I'm against illegal immigration and believe the way to stop it is to get the employers but Buchanan tries to stir up fear in people by stretching facts to unreasonable lengths.
