sometimes the doppler radars cant predict high frequency fluctuations, causing the weather man or women to be inaccurate
hope this helps :)
also, if you get the chance, please comment or sign my Guestmap, Thanks :)

Weather Forecasters are just that. Telling us what they think is gonna happen. Now most of the data they forecast can be accurately predicted. But then you have some elements of weather that no matter how hard you look over data, they are still guesswork. And this is usually what gets most forecasters. When a something doesn't goes as forecasted. Weathermen and women are only as good as the data they have and how will the weather is to cooperate. And do remember, they are human. They are allowed to make mistakes as well. Weathermen are not gods who can control the weather. They are people like you and I who make the best educated guess they can at what the weather will do.

It is very hard to predict the weather exactly as it can change very quickly and unexpectedly. The weather people actually get their information from the people who work at weather stations. It is the people at the weather stations who actually do the hard work in trying to predict the weather, not the weather people on the news. So yes the weather station people are sometimes wrong in their predictions.

Weather prediction is a highly complicated one and it is too complex too. Most of the predictions are based on (statistically)stimulated models and / or previous experience. The meteorological parameters are changing rapidly and it becomes more complex to arrive at a fitting 'Equation of motion" for a given period of time and for a given space. The variability in space and time is high compare to other physical phenomenon. Hence pin pointedly or accurately forecasting is a difficult task for all meteorologist throughout the globe and especially for the meteorologist at tropical region. Hence I do not think weatherman/woman are wrong in their predictions. They tend to be more scientific [more meteorological] nowadays rather than depending on statistical formulations and predictions. They are precise in predicting movement of storms and its landfall to some extend. The accuracy rate of prediction is slowly picking up with the use of modern technology and techniques.

There are always uncertainties. Meteorologists provide what they think is most probable, but not every inch of the atmosphere is measured.
Also things like buildings and mountains etc. throw in some weird effects which cannot be predicted.
It has been said that something as small as a butterfly can cause a change in the weather some time later.
If you want a more detailed description, have a look at this web page. http://www.stuffintheair.com/what-is-the-butterfly-effect.html

Given the information they have access too, no not really, nobody can predict our weather because there is so much that can happen above and beyond what's shown on a map. All we can do is give general warnings.

It's not that they are wrong, it's just that the weather changes constantly. So what may be right now could be different and hour from now. Here in Michigan the weather is always unpredictable.

They can be wrong because weather changes so drastically without warning at times.

No way man They are right like all the time like hurricanes. What would you do without the weather people. That's you the next hurricane that comes you'll see if they say it's coming your way and you don't believe it that's you. I would leave if they told me it was coming my way.

I think they are always wrong when they pick good weather and always right when they pick bad weather. At least in my part of the country
