I'm surprised it didn't happen before now. It's a unhealthy habit to swan dive onto a 20 ft. croc, and pick up black mamba's by their tails. Still, jumping onto a giant stingray is a bad way to go.

That's a hard question to answer.
I personally don't believe he ever hurt ANY animal. He was very gentle and careful with them. Even though I'm sure PETA members will disagree with me.
I don't think anyone "deserves " to die such a horrible death. He died doing what he loved. He was in his own element.
On the other hand, no one ever knows when one is going to die.
Freak accidents happen every day. Just try to be ready for it.
And, I'm a firm believer in " when your number is up, there's nothing you can do about it ".
You really need to try and phrase your questions better. Your words are pretty harsh for someone that did as much good as he did.

No one deserves to die. I think he cared enough about animals to show us them in a whole new light. Some of his stunts were off the wall but they taught us that animals really aren't as bad as portrayed. Sure enough he prob got on the animals nerves but his death wasn't deserved. Looks like he paid the ultimate price to educate.

If you stick your head in an alligators mouth and he bites your head off then it must be the damn animals fault right? He was a cool guy but he did a dangerous thing and there were perils that went with it. If a cop dies protecting us then its a tragedy. I know I will catch flak but that wasn't a tragedy! He didn't deserve it but thats what happens! Don't stand in front of a bus then whine and blame Greyhound!

Of course he did not deserve to die the way he did. Steve's work brought across to us the beauty that nature holds. That dangerous animals / serpents / mammals make up our planet and we should appreciate them all. He died, it was his time and that was the way he was destined to leave this earth. He died doing what he loved, admiring the wild.

He had a wife and kids. How could you think that he would deserve to die? that would mean his kids deserved to grow up without their dad. And apparently people loved to watch him because we all know who is was.

He liked animals and loved teaching and talking about them. I actually was very sad that he got dissed by a ray.
