There is a product that can be found just about everywhere called Goo-Gone that is amazing and useful for many other things. It removes grease, stickers, tar, gum, crayon, tape, scuff marks, shoe polish, tree sap, asphalt and many other things. There is an other product called Goof Off that does the same.

I use this wonderful product called "Un-Du". It's an adhesive remover. I got it at the local craft store in the area with all the glues and stuff. I haven't found a sticker that it can't remove yet. It's also safe for scrapbooking. Often, unless it's tore or really old, the sticker or adhesive you're removing can be used again.

An inexpensive way to try before you go buy products is this. A blow dryer and credit card( or some other plastic item) Get the sticker hot and then try scraping as you are using the dryer on it. If this doesn't work then try goo be gone or another product like that.

try some warm baby oil on a cotton ball, holding the cotton ball close to the sticker and pulling at it with your other hand. It may be a slow process, but you'll get it off without hurting the wood.

Lightly scratch the surface , apply acetone , be careful this will eat the glue and finish off ,,,,,,stand there and try to scrape ,every few minutes and when shes ready you will know . immediately wipe with some cloths , lightly sand when done and then re- apply some urethane ( match the gloss ) or just re- urethane the whole top for a nice fresh uniform look ( probably needs it anyways ) good luck ~! and be very careful with all these products they are extremely flammable .

Goof-Off may work -- I've used it to get paint residue off of my chairs which are cherry wood, and it didn't hurt the finish at all. Goo-Gone is similar -- one has more citrus than the other, I think.

Try heating it with a hair dryer to soften the glue, and then pull it off. To remove the glue residue apply some tape and peel away a few times to remove it. Good luck.

If the sticker is paper, not plastic, smear with peanut butter. It's oils will penetrate the sticker and release it.

The wood oil lemon cleaner should get
it off. It is used to clean wood and if you use
it a few times since it should be really wet
or moist to completely get it off.
