Just because the rubberstamp House gives him what he wants does not mean it gets past the Senate. Worms are turning ?

I know... I saw that today on the news also.

Looks like Republicans are finally get the courage to stand up to Bush, the beast. Only a monster would not want to obey the rules of the Geneva Convention.

And the things is that Bush KEEPS on trying over and over even though the Supreme Court told him last July that he was about to be charged with war crimes by the ICC.

HE STILL IS TRYING TO FIND AWAY AROUND IT.

Here is the typical republican:
- They disobey rules they don't like.
- They get into trouble for disobeying the rules.
- They then try to change the rules..

Nice to see some republicans have a conscience, President GW Bush has done so much damage to americas credibility in the last 7 or so years, and I am talking about with america's allies, not muslim countries.

He makes a mockery of the righteousnous of democracy when locking prisoners in foreign countries and secretly torturing them.

"we are protecting our freedom and way of life"

Think about how Saddam Hussein is considered evil. And now look at the state of Iraq under american 'control?'.

It would appear Bush's grudge war is catching up with him. He went into office with intentions of a war (picked war makers for his cabinet) and took the first opportunity to take good men and women into Iraq. We had every right to seek out and destroy those who had harmed us and we knew were ready do so. Unfortunately we ended up in the wrong place, fighting the wrong war, for the wrong reason. It is good that some of our Republicans and Democrats are finding enough fortitude to stand up to Bush!!
