Well, there's the myth of the Phoenix. Or, one could argue that a butterfly emerging from a cocoon is an end and then a beginning. Rights of passage are the same way -- an event that symbolizes the end of childhood and the beginning of adulthood and all that that entails. There's a type of wasp that lays its eggs in hornworms (a catepillar commonly found on tomato plants), which keep the catepillar alive until the larvea hatch and eat it from the inside out. The wasp is obviously parasitic, but the catepillar is also a very destructive creature, so it's a good thing that the wasps kill it -- if you like tomatoes, that is. Sept. 11 ended an era in which Americans felt secure and untouchable at home, and began the "War on Terror," if you want a not-so-positive example.

I can't give you exact details since I have no idea what the goal of the assignment is, but you'll need details that specifically list something new as the result of the end of something else. For example, a job offer for a great job after having to quit or being fired from a job you hate, or starting college after the end of highschool, or moving across the country and starting over again, or coping with the loss of a loved one or a breakup.

Example of main idea: My computer (PC) has got a virus, I have to completely wipe the entire hard drive(this is then end (of all your data)). I have two choices: Either Hit it with a hammer (whilst it is running windows (which is the system most likely to have a virus) ) and go out and buy a Macintosh, or (moronically) reinstall the original operating system(beginning).
Another example: The battery's in my gameboy have ran out (end), I replaced them with some new ones (beginning).

I had a bi-lateral lung transplant 08/26/04 due to Cystic Fibrosis. My donors death was the beginning of a new life for me. I can do things that I couldn't do for years, if ever, and I can breathe freely for the first time in my life.
