The show Overhaulin' on TLC seems like it would cost a fortune because of all the parts and the labor, how much does it cost for one of those cars to get overhauled? Secondly, does the Overhaulee have to pay anything at all?

Yeah, it's not any father and son's garage, it's Chip Foose's. Foose design, crate motor, and one off wheel sets, going to cost around $100k +/- 15k.

It depends on the project.
All of the cost is borne by the sponsors of the show, and the equipment installed. If you notice, there are a variety off shops, painters, customizers etc. that contribute effort. Some of it is by means of "free" advertising.

its free if they choose your car to overhaul,,but you have to pay the taxes on what the vehicle is worth when there done with it,,and that's the only thing it cost,,but considering what a car is worth when they get done with it,,it could be a lot of taxes to pay,,its a one time deal though,,and you don't have to pay it again,,unless your state is one of those that charge a percentage of what the car is worth ever year to tag it,,but that's about it,,good luck,,you could be next.
