can anyone tell me what order to put on the differnent powders? what is the correct way to put them on?

I had a girl do my makeup with bare essentials. It looked so good. I went home and tried doing it and didn't look good at all. I had to mess with it a bit but finally got it to work. Here is what you do.
First wash your face, then put a toner/moisturizer on to let the powder have somethine to stick to.
1) Put on your lightest color. Cover your face good with it.
2) Get the darker of the two powders, put that over entire face.
3) Apply bronzer on the cheeks/forehead/nose bridge/ and chin.
4) Put on the mineral veil.
Your skin will look flawless/airbrushed!
(I wrote this, assuming that you bought the starter kit)!?

They way that I put my Bare Minerals on is: mineral veil, I have oily skin and this helps with the oil. Foundation, I wear Fair, make sure to buff it in well, at this point I conceal under my eyes or add more if needed, then I use a little and I mean little warmth, then a final "dusting' of mineral veil.
Play around and see what works best for you. Also you may want to check out delphi forums. There's a forum for Bare Escentual addicts, you can learn a lot and find some tips and tricks.

There really is no correct way but Bare Minerals make-up is like, the best, make-up out there!

The 'true all over powder' works wonderful in place of the mineral veil as well...

Don't use powders. Powders make lines look more noticeable, plus it clogs your pores.
Just use a good foundation, blush, mascara and lipstick. You'll look great!

Once your products runs out, try Physician's Formula's Mineral Wear line. Very similar, same outcome, cheaper price. And you don't have "steps" to apply it. Just brush it on and go.
