because most of their prey sees them and runs away....as for the side they have to turn and they dont really look at the side....for ex. when you r alone you somtimes feel scard and look BEHIND you to check if anyone is there, but not to the side....hope this helps :)

Well you don't have to worry about it, because it isn't true. Have you ever watched a cat attack a mouse? Or a bird? Cats and tigers are both felines, and both display the same hunting behaviours.

Tigers will pounce on their prey and aim for their neck to suffocate or to break it. For the tiger it's child's play and that makes it easy prey.

They don't need to plus when coming from the front , their prey has to stop and turn around. I don't know if that's right. I just made it up.
